HISTORY
Rick B. Smith, the founder of Smith Industries, was a true native of the Permian Basin. He first started in business with his father, E.L. Smith, and two brothers (Danny and Don) at Smith Brother's Pipe. For many years they endured the numerous booms and busts of the Permian Basin oil business, but they always found a way to persevere in the business they loved. Always an entrepreneur, Rick founded Smith Industries in 2004 where he built a family-owned company centered around hard work, integrity, and great talent. Rick’s legacy of culture and commitment continues today at Smith Industries.
